Design work is well underway to modernise Narrabundah College which currently caters for around 950 students from across Canberra.

Narrabundah College has been part of the local community since 1974, and in 2022 funding was announced to modernise the college.

The project will allow for up to 1100 students to be enrolled and will attract more students from the local priority enrolment area (PEA). It will also enable a wider range of subjects to be offered.

The works will take place in stages, to allow for the continued operation of the college throughout the works.

The first stage of works is expected to be completed during the 2027 school year.

Project benefits:

The modernisation of Narrabundah College will provide:

  • modernised general and specialist learning settings
  • upgraded sporting and recreational facilities which the community can hire
  • designs that are fit for contemporary teaching methods and enable a quality education experience for staff and students
  • the capacity to offer a wider range of subjects.
