Improving access to Mount Taylor Nature Reserve from Sulwood Drive is underway.

Design work is continuing to improve safe access to the reserve and the local Wanniassa shops. This work will benefit Kambah residents and visitors alike.

Key features include:

  • a new four-kilometre long and three-metre-wide off-road asphalt shared path. This will be on the southern side of Sulwood Drive between Drakeford Drive and Athllon Drive
  • safety barriers along the new off-road shared path where needed
  • raised pedestrian crossings on Inkster Street and Livingstone Avenue
  • traffic lights at the intersection of Mannheim Street and Sulwood Drive
  • changes to the entry and exit points of the carpark
  • a safe right-turn into the carpark

Project Benefits

Community benefits include:

  • safer conditions for drivers visiting the Mount Taylor Nature Reserve
  • a new shared path making it easier to be active in the local area
  • improved access to a natural, communal space.
